Welcome to Including All Nervous Systems for Teaching and Learning, a summer course designed specifically for primary school teachers who want to better understand and support the emotional, behavioural, and sensory needs of every child in their classroom.
Created and delivered by Anna and Susanne, experienced primary teachers, accredited play therapists, clinical supervisors and synergetic play therapy practitioners, this course draws on over 40 years of combined classroom experience and thousands of hours of clinical practice. It blends evidence-based theory with grounded, practical strategies to bring you a course that is thoughtful, accessible and immediately relevant to your work.
Over the course of five modules, you’ll be introduced to key principles of nervous system regulation and how they impact behaviour, learning and classroom dynamics. You’ll learn how to observe and respond to children through a new lens, one that makes space for compassion, connection and calm.
This is not just a tick-the-box CPD course. It’s a space to pause, reflect and build confidence in how you support every child and yourself, in the busy, beautiful chaos of school life. Through a combination of online and offline learning, tutor support and reflective prompts, you’ll walk away with fresh insights, ready-to-use tools, and a renewed sense of purpose as an educator.
By the end of the course, you will have:
A clear understanding of nervous system regulation and its impact on learning
Practical, low-pressure strategies to support all learners
Tools and templates to support planning and implementation
A deeper understanding of classroom behaviours and how to respond supportively
Reflective prompts to help build on your existing strengths
